In my page A beginning I explain my reason for the creation of Dye-a-Logue, but for reasons that may surface in my subsequent posts, this blog has submissions in two forms – Pages and Posts.
Posts are more like letters. They could be comments or asides on current events or something I have read, or seen. The latest post will always appear on the home page, and the most recent post appears at the top. Older posts are best found by searching for them. All the posts have at least one category assigned to them, and usually a tag or two. So, to find a post you may look under a Category, in the Archive, or using Tags.
Pages are sorted into themes and ordered in a hierarchy. I have given these themes the same name in a category, to make them easier to find because it is possible to search categories. Pages can be found from the heading page, which is visible as the main menu at the top of any page. The first page of a theme explains it. There you will find a drop-down menu to all the subsequent pages of the same theme (to see an image of this click here and a new page will open).
All submissions to A Dye A Logue, whether posts or pages, come under one of these various themes. Pages are automatically sorted under their theme, but posts are not.
In order to easily find posts that come under one or more themes, each are allocated to one or more categories (see right hand menu) of the same name as the theme (to see an image of this area click here and a new page will open). This enables you to easily search for a post by category. They may also be allocated another lesser category that is not a theme.
The themes are as follows, and as mentioned earlier, are all accessible from the main menu:
Who? – Who are we?
What? – Issues & problems.
Where? – Where are we & where should we be going?
How? – Solutions.
Why? – Philosophical questions?
